Tailored Precision in Aerospace Components
Recently, our team visited a defence manufacturer in the Netherlands. The purpose of our visit was to oversee the commissioning of a new CIJECT 2 machine, which they are utilising to enhance their production capabilities. The operating parameters of this machine were customised to meet their stringent requirements for the precise dispensing of small quantities—approximately 360ml—of polyester resin. The resin is used for the encapsulation of critical components, demanding accuracy within 0.5%, which our CIJECT 2 handles with ease.
During our visit, we focused on software updates to ensure the machine’s performance matched the meticulous demands of their production. We also tested various output pipework configurations in order to achieve a consistent flow rate over a period of about three minutes—a crucial factor in reducing the risk of scrapping valuable parts. Moreover, discussions about future automation possibilities were initiated, outlining paths for increased efficiency in their expanding production line. To cement their operational autonomy, we conducted thorough training in both machine operation and basic maintenance.
Innovating in Infrastructure with Fibrecore
Another enlightening visit was to Fibrecore, known for their innovative production of composite bridge structures. Here, we commissioned two new CIJECT 2 machines, underscoring the versatility of our equipment. Fibrecore uses the same model of the CIJECT 2 as the defence manufacturer yet applies it to vastly different products—large polyester composite structures, some weighing up to 10 tonnes.
Our involvement didn’t stop after the machines were installed. We conducted extensive testing, including the infusion of a small test panel weighing around 30kg, to ensure everything functioned perfectly under operational pressures. Similar to our approach with other customers, we provided comprehensive training on machine operations and maintenance, empowering Fibrecore’s team to excel without compromising on productivity.
More Than Machines: A Testament to Our Approach
These visits exemplify our holistic approach to customer service. At Composite Integration, we sell more than just machines—we provide a gateway to enhanced capabilities and prolonged operational success.
